Well, after a shaky start with awful headaches, I started to feel better last week, my 3rd week. We had a wonderful week in a cottage in Silverdale and walked 4 - 5 miles on 5 days. I was a bit stiff and sore as usual in the mornings, but the difference in my energy levels is amazing. I feel like 'me' again, for the first time in over a year!

I've tried to do lots of other feel-good things too. Had no alcohol for 5 weeks - occasionally missed it on hols with 2 lovely pubs in the village, but I don't want to do anything that makes me feel ill or get headaches again. I'm also trying to eat 7 fruit/veg a day (supposed to lower blood pressure - don't want to come off leflunomide due to bp) and keep up the walking now I'm home.

My girls are going camping with their Dad today till Friday. I will miss them but part of me is very excited at not having to taxi and feed anyone! I'm thinking of stripping the kitchen walls, so I know I must be better as it's a job I've been unable to face for a long time!

I'm so glad to be able to post good news for once instead of always problem after problem. xx Ailsa

PS Hotter walking shoes were great - well worth the expense

Hi Ailsa,

Glad you enjoyed your holiday and are beginning to respond well to Leflunamide.
I hope you continue to do well on it, but go slowly with the wallpaper stripping, don't overdo it!
Take the chance to relax while you have the TV remote to yourself!

Love, Doreen xx

Hi Ailsa, thats really good news, so glad to hear it. Its really nice tohear something positive about these drugs as so often they have really yucky side effects. Dont overdo things whilst you're on your own, take time to chill and watch all the tv you want to with total control of the remote!!

Im supposed to be starting leflunomide later this week, so hope to have a positive response like yourself!

Take care, enjoy the peace!

love Heatherxxx

Hi Ailsa,

I`m glad you enjoyed your holiday, and leflunomide is beginning to work for you.

Enjoy the peace and quiet at home, and don`t overdo it with the kitchen walls!

Kathleen x

Good stuff, this Leflunomide...............if it works for you!! I'm so very pleased you're feeling so much better, don't go mad now, just because you think you can!!
And all the best to anyone else starting it soon..I honestly can say its the ONLY dMArd that has worked for me in 6 long years of trying cocktails of this and that, so good luck, and take care, Love Lxx

Hello - thanks for all the good wishes! I'm still doing well, though I have definitely overdone it a bit and am going to try to have a couple of lazy days this week.

Happy Monday everyone - hope it is a good week for us all XX Ailsa
